Additional Outreach Initiatives

UBC Sauder Business Club of Greater China

Outside Canada, China is the largest base of Sauder alumni, with more than 1,000 alumni in the region. In June 2010, the school launched the UBC Sauder Business Club of Greater China. The club was created by alumni for alumni to serve the business, social and professional development interests of the Greater China Sauder alumni community. Sauder graduates in the club enjoy professional development opportunities, social and networking events, and exclusive access to a member directory.

Shanghai Summer Program

The Shanghai Summer Program is a five-week intensive program for UBC undergraduate students offered in collaboration with Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The program, which began in 1998, allows students to network with Chinese professionals and gain knowledge of culture and business practices in both Shanghai and Hong Kong.

Korea University-UBC Joint Academic Program

The Sauder School of Business receives a large number of students from Korea University as a result of the Korea University-UBC Joint Academic Program. This agreement between the two universities provides an eight-month integrated cross-cultural education program at UBC for approximately 100 Korean students each year.
